First, the standard IATF 16949 is the most widely used automotive standard in the world.

Third, the standard IATF 16949 is perfectly aligned with the standard ISO 9001 version 2015.

Fifth, if your company was certified in TS 16949:2008, then you have until the 14 of September of 2018 to complete your transition. We recommend you to follow these steps:
- Give training to your employees about the new version of the standard.
- Do a Gap Analysis to find differences between your Quality Management System and the new standard.
- Based on the Gap Analysis, generate a Corrective Plan.
- Schedule your certification audit.
