Lean Manufacturing focuses on eliminating all types of waste in an organization.
Waste is defined as anything that doesn’t aggregate value in the eyes of a client or any additional resource above the minimum required to create one.
Methodology for Implementation:
- Identify waste in a company; Waste has to be identified in order to set achievable objectives.
- Build a Lean Team, and assign a Qualified Leader. He is crucial for its success.
- Assign a Lean Project that focuses on eliminating waste. Establish Project Owners and Deadlines.
- Constantly monitor the Lean Project Milestones and Results.
Be sure to acknowledge your Lean Team and Leader once objectives are accomplished.
